“We went to the hospital a couple of days ago and brought home a new human today. Welcome, Haakon Barrett True!” Earlier this week, pro triathlete Sarah True and her husband Ben True welcomed their first child to the world.
True – whose maiden name is Groff – finished fourth at the 2012 Olympics in London. At the 2016 Olympics in Rio, she represented America again. After a tough race that year and because she faced some mental struggles, she decided to shift her focus to long-distance racing. The move was a success because in 2018 she finished fourth at the world championship in Hawaii. She’s also won two Ironman 70.3 events, finished second at Ironman Frankfurt 2018 and second place at Ironman Mont Tremblant 2019.
