In addition to the huge prize purse and the honor, the best athletes in the world will race at Saturday’s Collins Cup for a giant trophy. The trophy won’t be going home with just one athlete as every athlete races for either Team Europe, Team USA or Team International. Their team captain gets to take home this prize!
Athletes like Jan Frodeno, Daniela Ryf, Lucy Charles, Holly Lawrence, Katie Zaferes, Sebastian Kienle, Lionel Sanders and many other impressive names will be on the start line this weekend. Athletes will take off in groups of three – each time with one athlete representing a team – and the teams will collect points based on every heat.
The giant trophy is hard to miss – it’s in the middle of the restaurant where all these star athletes have their meals over the next few days.
