Ironman extends events in Panama City Beach, Florida, for further five years

Ironman and the Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau have agreed to a five-year partnership renewal. This will keep the Visit Panama City Beach Ironman Florida triathlon and the Visit Panama City Beach IM 70.3 Gulf Coast triathlon in Panama City Beach, Florida, through 2029.

A release from IM added that… ‘Additionally, the title partnership agreement, which has been instrumental in the success of these events, has also been extended through the same period.’

  • The 25th edition of the Visit Panama City Beach Ironman Florida triathlon took place on Saturday, November 4, 2023 and was won by Rudy von Berg and Skye Moench. Next year’s edition is set for November 2, 2024.
  • The next edition of the Visit Panama City Beach Ironman 70.3 Gulf Coast triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Panama City Beach, located along Florida’s Emerald Coast, offers an array of amenities from beaches, family-friendly amusements, shopping, and dining.

The Visit Panama City Beach IM Florida triathlon begins with a 2.4-mile Gulf swim around the Russel-Fields Pier, followed by a 112-mile ride through the Florida pines forest, and caps off with a 26.2-mile run along the shoreline on Front Beach Road towards the finish line at Pier Park.

The Visit Panama City Beach IM 70.3 Gulf Coast triathlon follows a similar route that includes a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and a 13.1-mile run that begins and ends at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort in Panama City Beach.
