At the European Championships Powerman in Alsdorf, Dane Simon Jorn Hansen has prolonged his title from last year by thus winning again. Among the women, Germany’s Leonie Kleine-Bley was the fastest over 10 kilometers of running, 60 kilometers of cycling and another 10 kilometers of running.

Hansen’s title prolongation came by a not-too-big margin, as he won the race after 2:25:48 and it was only a 1:18 minute wait before Slovak Ondrej Kubo finished second in 2:27:06. Frenchman Emile Blondel-Hermant finished third in 2:28:19 and completed the European Championship podium.

In the women’s race, Melanie Maurer won with more supremacy: the Swiss recorded 2:45:54, staying more than two minutes ahead of runner-up Merle Brunnée, who crossed the finish line after 2:47:59 and finished second like last year. Switzerland’s Olivia Keiser finished third in 2:49:53.
