World Triathlon has unveiled its updated racing calendar for 2025, featuring a combination of traditional events and a further push for indoor triathlon racing.
World Triathlon Cup Saidia is a new addition in Morocco, set to take place in Morocco on June 28-29, 2025. After the debut of Tangier on the World Cup circuit two years ago, Saidia in northeastern Morocco will take the lead in hosting in 2025. This event in North Africa also ensures that the World Cup circuit maintains its presence on all five continents.
Last year, the French city of Lievin delivered a debut of the indoor triathlon format on the World Cup circuit, and the event is back on the calendar in 2025. This year’s event is set for March 22, 2025, and will aim to boost engagement for indoor racing whilst showcasing a spectacle for athletes and fans.
Keeping things indoors, the Supertri E World Triathlon Championship – the Esport World Championships – will also return to the calendar in 2025. The second edition of the innovative virtual-meets-real-world event is scheduled for April 5, 2025, in a European location to be announced soon.
World Triathlon has also confirmed that the Para Triathlon Cup will return to Alanya, Turkey, reaffirming its status as a key stop on the Para triathlon calendar. Scheduled for the final weekend of October, this event will provide a platform for para athletes to showcase their talents.
