It almost seems like a bad joke, but is really true: the PTO is shifting the date of its T100 race in Frejus (France, ed.) for the third time. After previously mentioning dates in May and June, it appears that the T100 French Riviera will now be pushed to Aug. 30 and 31. On the same weekend, a new WTCS will take place in the same place.
For World Triathlon, the WTCS Frejus is already the second new WTCS to be announced this season, after earlier WTCS Alghero was added to the calendar. At the same time, therefore, the newest WTCS will take place on the same weekend as the T100 French Riviera.
For Age Group athletes who had confirmed their participation in T100 French Riviera and arranged travel and accommodation, this news is a true horror scenario. At worst, they now have to rebook everything for the second time.
