The 38-year-old Joyce Hübner has broken a mind-boggling women’s world record: the German runner has completed a full marathon every single day for 367 consecutive days. What’s more, she is far from finished, as her ultimate goal is to run a staggering 495 marathons in a row.
Previously, the record was held by Belgium’s Hilde Dosogne, who ran a marathon every day of the year during the 2024 leap year (totaling 366 days). Hübner surpassed that mark yesterday – Tuesday, June 2 – by completing her 367th marathon, but she plans to keep going steadily over the coming months to push the world record even further. As part of her record attempt, Hübner aims to visit the two thousand largest cities and villages in Germany, covering approximately 21,000 kilometers. Her world record attempt began on June 1, 2025, and is scheduled to conclude in Berlin on October 8 of this year.
