He went home with victory in the Giro yesterday, but just last week he also impressively won the Queen’s Stage. Pogacar’s performance there is publicly available on Strava, including all the KOM’s he broke, but hilariously that was not entirely to the liking of a fan. Someone decided to report Pogacar on Strava, something the rider himself can laugh at, of course. “This way people can see how fast we go on the iconic climbs,” he laughed.
During the Queen’s Stage, Pogacar closed more than three minutes on the final climb, eventually catching Nairo Quintana and winning by half a minute. Pogacar rode so fast that one of his followers didn’t believe the impressive stats on Strava and thus reported him as a cheater. “But that happens way more often,” laughed Pogacar, who is apparently used to it. “At least it brought me some kudos,” he concludes.
