It should really come as no surprise, as Challenge Roth always takes place during the first or second weekend of July, and so it will again in 2026. The race in Germany announced that next year’s race will take place on July 5.
According to Race Director Felix Walchshöfer, there has again been good consultation between the biggest German races – by which, of course, Ironman Frankfurt is meant, among others – so that the races doesn’t bother each other to much in terms of race dates.
Athletes wishing to register for the 2026 edition of Challenge Roth will have to be patient. While Challenge Roth 2025 takes place on July 6 this year, the first 2026-slots can be purchased on site the day after the race – July 7, that is. Online registration opens a week later, on July 14. The race is actually always sold out within a minute.
