The 2025 Challenge Family calendar will come to a close on November 30 as Challenge Florianópolis returns to Brazil’s Santa Catarina coastline. The race has quickly become one of South America’s standout triathlon gatherings, and this end-of-season edition is poised to welcome more than 1,000 age-group athletes across Sprint and Middle Distance events.
This will be the second Florianópolis race of the year, following a successful April outing – another indication of the event’s rising popularity among athletes seeking fast racing paired with an iconic destination.
Set on the “Magic Island,” famed for its more than 100 beaches and vibrant triathlon culture, the day starts with a sunrise swim off Jurerê Internacional. The sheltered bay typically offers calm, clear conditions, giving competitors a picturesque and confidence-building start.
The bike course showcases the varied terrain of Florianópolis, opening with coastal views before sweeping inland through some of the island’s well-known neighborhoods. Athletes can expect a dynamic mix of aero-friendly straights and more technical sections demanding sharp handling.
Runners will be treated to an energetic finish through the central streets of Jurerê Internacional, where local supporters traditionally line the route. A festival-like finish area—with music, crowds, and plenty of atmosphere – caps off the experience.
With its growing reputation and strong athlete turnout, Challenge Florianópolis continues to cement itself as a regional highlight. The 2025 edition promises a memorable season finale for athletes and fans alike.
