The four new – and previously announced – races for 2026 are already sold out, but Ironman isn’t done yet. The organization has just announced another new race for this year, and it comes with an iconic backdrop: Ironman 70.3 Versailles.
Ironman 70.3 Versailles will take place on July 12, with the finish line set directly in front of the historic Château de Versailles. During the 2024 Olympic Games, the palace and its surrounding park hosted the equestrian events. Even then, there was already talk about the area’s potential as a triathlon venue, and Ironman has now turned that idea into reality.
In recent years, a triathlon has already been held at this location, albeit over the short distance, including cross triathlon and aquathlon races. Those events will continue to exist and are scheduled to take place in May of this year.
