In a time where one triathlete after another is posting lightning-fast times in running races, it was Cassandre Beaugrand’s turn this weekend: the Olympic Champion from Paris recorded a stunning 30:52 minutes during the 10K Urban Trail de Lille, immediately breaking the French national record for that distance.
For Beaugrand, this marks a second national record, as she previously ran 14:53 minutes over five kilometers, which was also a French record at the time. This time, her mark of 30:52 minutes went eight seconds under the previous national record of 31:00, which was held by Alessia Zarbo.
Beaugrand is currently preparing for the triathlon season but had not competed in any previous races in 2026.
