Just count to fifteen and realize that in that very same timeframe, thousands of registration slots for Challenge Roth were sold: the German race sold out in just a few moments and proves to remain as popular as ever.

Only eight days after the highly successful edition of Challenge Roth – where Sam Laidlow set a world record and Alanis Siffert caused a surprise in the women’s race – registrations for Challenge Roth 2027 opened on Monday morning. As is the case every year, the race sold out within a matter of seconds: fifteen, to be exact. “So, it looks like we will have to organize another race next year,” said Race Director Felix Walchshoefer. Additionally, a few hundred more slots will be sold at a later date through a lottery, with half of the proceeds going to charity.

Last week, athletes were already able to register on-site for Challenge Roth 2027: this resulted in a massive queue of no less than 1,600 meters long during the evening and night after the race, filled with people spending the night on chairs and in sleeping bags just to buy a slot the next morning.
