A Swedish athlete completed Ironman Kalmar in a very unusual way: last weekend, he was in a good position in the race when he got a flat tire after biking 145 kilometers. When the man was then unable to repair his tire, he decided to run the remaining 35 kilometers to T2 instead. Pushing his bike along, he continued on his way. Once he reached T2, he went on to complete the regular marathon as well, ultimately reaching the finish line of the race. “I don’t like giving up when I have started something. You can’t control your circumstances, but you can control how you react to them.”
