“How it’s going vs. how it started.” While Olympic champion Flora Duffy – who usually lives in Stellenbosch, South Africa – heads to Bermuda to celebrate her own national holiday “Flora Duffy day”, she shares a throwback to hear early triathlon days. Even at that young age, Duffy won races and ran fast as the wind; or so it seems from seeing the photos.
Duffy was supposed to take part in the World Triathlon Sprint & Relay Championships in Bermuda (Oct. 15-17), but all events were cancelled due to COVID-19. A few weeks ago, the country announced that October 18 would be a public holiday to celebrate their Olympic gold athlete.
