While it remains subject to change, Ironman has posted its professional race schedule with prize money and qualifying slots through to the end of July. You can check out the schedule here. Here are a few highlights:
- The Ironman World Championship in St. George to offer US$750,000 prize purse. That’s up $100,000 from the prize purse offered at the 2019 event in Kona.
- Many of the Ironman 70.3 races on the schedule appear to be offering $30,000 prize purses, with a few offering $15,000 (Dubai, Warsaw, Luxembourg – women’s pro event, Switzerland – men’s pro event) and this weekend’s event in Pucon offering $25,000.
- The Ironman 70.3 North American Championship in Chattanooga will offer $75,000 in prize money, as will the 70.3 European Championship in Elsinore
- The regional Ironman championship events – South Africa, Asia-Pacific (Cairns) and North America (Des Moines) will all offer $150,000 prize purses.
- The European Ironman championship events are split between Hamburg (women) and Frankfurt (men) – those events will each offer a $75,000 prize purse. There will also be a $50,000 prize purse for the women pros at Ironman Frankfurt, but there won’t be a pro purse for the men in Hamburg.
- Most of the other Ironman events will offer a $75,000 prize purse, with a few offering $50,000 and Ironman Lake Placid offering $100,000.
- While not on the schedule, the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in St. George will offer a $350,000 prize purse.
