All full-distance Ironman races in Canada and US sold out in 2021

“Athletes have shown they cannot wait to get back to in-person racing as general registration for all 12 full-distance Ironman triathlons across the United States of America and Canada for 2021 have now sold out,” Ironman announced in a press release yesterday.

Since Ironman didn’t refund entries from “postponed” events in 2020, many of those entries are likely deferrals, but there is no doubt that athletes are clamoring to get back to racing in 2021. According to Ironman, Ironman Florida, which did go ahead in 2020, sold out in less than two days, while Ironman California, a new event, “reached capacity before it reached general registration, selling out during presale.”

According to Ironman, “more than 13,000 athletes will be racing their first-ever full-distance Ironman event in 2021.”

Athletes can still ask to be put on a wait list for the events, and there are still Ironman Foundation charity spots available.

Here’s a list of the Ironman races in the US and Canada in 2021:
