Ironman announced Ironman Tulsa and Ironman 70.3 St. George will host the Ironman North American Championship and Ironman 70.3 North American Championship in 2021.
Ironman 70.3 St. George is scheduled for May 1, 2021, three weeks before the Ironman North American Championship takes place during Ironman Tulsa on May 23rd.

Ironman Tulsa
Beginning with a rolling start format, athletes will plunge in the water of the Keystone Lake for a 3.8-km swim before they take on the 180-km scenic ride over rolling hills. The race ends with a flat 42.2-km marathon that offers beautiful views of the Arkansas River. Athletes celebrate their big day by collecting their medal at the finish line in Guthrie Green park.
Athletes will compete for one of 75 qualifying slots for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, 2021.
Ironman 70.3 St. George
Not only will the city of St. George welcome athletes in the beginning of the year for the Ironman 70.3, later the year – on Sept. 17 and 18 – the city will become the playground for thousands of athletes during the Ironman 70.3 World Championship.
It’s not hard to imagine why the race is popular with athletes around the world – St. George offers spectacular surroundings with breathtaking red rock formations and canyons. Athletes will begin their adventure in the morning with a 1.9-km swim in Hurricane’s Sand Hallow State Park. The 90-km bike through Washington County highlighted by the epic Snow Canyon State Park climb. The day finishes with a tough out-and-back half-marathon.
At stake are 100 qualifying slots for the Ironman 70.3 North American Championship in St. George, besides 50 Women For Tri slots for the same event.
