Tom Bishop has announced a new partnership with On running ahead of his Olympic qualification campaign. Bishop has been on the verge of making his Olympic debut since 2016, when he was an alternate for the Great Britain team in Rio. In 2017 Bishop took his first World Championship Series podium in Abu Dhabi and is currently ranked in the top 75 ITU athletes globally. The Derby native now based in Leeds has had a steady progression in Olympic-distance events over the past few years and is hoping to make his mark at the Tokyo Olympics this year before moving up to half- and full-distance racing. Bishop is set to begin his season in Japan in May to race both the World Triathlon Cup in Osaka, Japan on May 8 as well as the World Championship Series in Yokohama Japan on May 15.

On is a Swiss company that has made waves in both the running and endurance realms since the company’s inception in 2010. One of the founders is former Ironman champion Olivier Bernhard.

“We are delighted to be working with Tom as not only is he a talented athlete, but he also shares our commitment to the sport and striving for the best,” Bernhard says. “We can’t wait to help Tom achieve his Olympic, Commonwealth and Ironman ambitions.”

It’s been a big year for the 29-year-old – earlier this year he announced a 10-year deal with Huub that will see him use that company’s products until the end of his career.
