After Super League Triathlon announced the start field for the SLT Arena Games in London a few weeks ago, there has been some shuffling in the start list. Today SLT announced that Rachel Klamer (NLD) and Marten van Riel (BEL) will replace Helen Jenkins (BRT) and Leo Bergere (FRA) at Saturday’s event.

Klamer, who finished second at the inaugural SLT Arena Games in Rotterdam last year, stands a good chance of ending up on the podium. She will likely get some strong competition from three British athletes: Georgia Taylor-Brown, Sophie Coldwell and Lucy Charles-Barclay.

Van Riel, who finished sixth at the 2016 Olympics, has no experience with this quick and special format that will see athletes swim-bike-run in a different order over three different stages, but will likely be a contender for the win. The other podium contenders in the field include Vasco Vilaca (POR), Justus Nieschlag (GER), Alex Yee (GBR) and Jonathan Brownlee (GBR).
