It was designed for Kona 2020, but instead – as the Ironman World Championship is postponed until February next year – Patrick Lange will hit the gas on his new Canyon Speedmax tomorrow at Challenge Roth. The German race favorite shares some beautiful, detailed shots of his bike that he will take for a 180 km ride around Roth.
It seems like Lange has similar handlebars to those Jan Frodeno used during the Tri Battle Royale. Frodeno also shared some close-up shots of his bike then. The only remarkable difference is that Frodeno had just one bar to hold onto with both hands, while Lange still has two (see the fourth photo).
