We already published the scoop yesterday, after Rwandan media and the country’s president announced that the African country would have an Ironman. Still, it wasn’t sure yet. By now it is; Rwanda is definitely getting an Ironman. Not a full distance race, but an Ironman 70.3 is planned for August 14.
This will be Ironman’s first race in Central Africa. Athletes can prepare for a hilly bike course and a flat run course and undoubtedly a unique experience. More information about the race can be found here.
