How fast will athletes swim, bike and run at Project Sub7/Sub8?

This upcoming weekend Kristian Blummenfelt, Joe Skipper, Kat Matthews and Nicola Spirig will try to break the seven- and eight hour barrier on a Long-Distance triathlon. But how fast will they need to swim, bike and run in order to do so? What will be their finish times? You’ll find the time targets per athlete and per discipline – set by themselves – in the images below.

That comes down to an average of 48 km/h on the bike part and a pace of 3:26 min/km during the run. 

 

That comes down to an average of 54 km/h on the bike part and a pace of 3:43 min/km during the run.
