During the swim and bike he was solid in the group and during the run he was suddenly there: Hayden Wilde won WTCS Hamburg convincingly last Saturday. With that victory, the New Zealand athlete ends a five-week block of races. When he crossed the finish line like a kiwi – the national symbol of New Zealand – it was already clear that he was very happy, but that was also very clear thanks to his comments after the race.

“It’s a special feeling taking the win here. Five races, five weeks and to top it off with this one is something I’ll remember for some time.”
