It’s always a pretty popular race Down Under: the Tauranga Half. Last night (CET time, ed.) the race was won by Braden Currie and Rebecca Clarke. Currie did so in a new course record.

Currie won the Tauranga Half in a time of 3:37:47; almost two minutes faster than the previous course record. He stayed ahead of Mike Phillips (3:40:37) and Jack Moody (3:42:25), among others. Currie made the difference mainly during the swim and run.

The women’s race was won by Clarke. She did not win the race in a new course record, but was still lightning fast: 4:07:48. In doing so, Clarke stayed ahead of Amelia Watkinson (4:10:12) and Hannah Berry (4:10:45). Clarke also made the difference mostly during the swim and run.
