In recent days there has been much criticism of the extremely expensive ticket prices for various sports at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The criticism comes not only from fans and spectators, but also from professional athletes themselves, who complain about the far too high prices, which may cause people to stop coming and cheer for athletes. For now, triathletes need not worry so much: the three triathlon races on and around the Pont Alexandre III are almost completely free to attend, as is the marathon, by the way.

This makes the Olympic triathlon and Olympic marathon two of the few events where spectators can enjoy the race for free. Only in the stands you pay a price starting at 40 euros, but along the course you can watch for free. Because of this, the expectation is that there will be a large crowd, so it looks like a certainty that spectators have to get up early to get a good spot along the course.

The men’s Olympic triathlon will take place on July 30, 2024. The women will follow a day later on July 31, 2024 and the Mixed Team Relay is scheduled for Aug. 5, 2024.
