Ironman has announced that general registration for the inaugural Ironman 70.3 New York – Jones Beach has sold out. With the sell-out, the event will play host to the largest inaugural IM 70.3 event in the history of the Ironman 70.3 brand with approximately 3,800 registered athletes. IM 70.3 New York – Jones Beach is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
“When we first identified Jones Beach as a potential host location for an IM 70.3 triathlon, we knew that this destination would be very desirable and athletes have shown that,” said Dave Christen, Senior Regional Director for The Ironman Group.
“We are proud to host events in highly desirable locations across the series. We can’t wait for our athletes to come and experience some of the most beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, beautiful weather, and the close proximity to New York City.”
