Things are not going well for Emma Pallant-Browne: over the past five weeks, the British athlete had several breakdowns, including having to stop at the PTO T100 race in Miami, where she ended up in the hospital due to overheating symptoms. Now Pallant-Browne fell while cycling and is covered in abrasions. She hopes to recover in time for next Saturday’s Ironman 70.3 Oceanside.

“Definitely can’t do this journey alone. Hospital visits, roadside rescues, bike wipeouts, this 5 week trip has reminded us the road isn’t smooth and you’ve gotta want it but also be so appreciative and grateful for the amazing people we are surrounded by. Can’t thank Lauren Buckingham enough for rescuing me after a bike spill Saturday, now hoping to heal up fast so I can still make it to Oceanside start line.”

Ironman 70.3 Oceanside will be the first IM Pro Series race of this season.
