Not during the day but on Saturday night the Europe Triathlon Cup Wells was held and in Austria Nathan Grayel and Nina Eim went home with fine victories.

In the men’s race – over the Sprint Distance – the differences were small, which made the denouement of the race exciting. In the end, it was Grayel who won the race: the Frenchman finished in a time of 56:31, just two seconds ahead of his compatriot Igor Dupuis (56:33). The number three also finished short of the fastest men: Portuguese Miguel Tiago Silva won the bronze in a time of 56:40.

As with the men, the fastest women were also close together. At least the Germans Nina Eim and Annika Koch: Eim won the race in 1:01:51, staying five seconds ahead of her compatriot Koch, who finished second. Canadian Desirae Ridenour finished third pretty strong, but had to concede a little more time to the two fastest women. She finished in a time of 1:02:29.
