While yesterday we enjoyed a wonderful documentary about the 2024 season of Challenge Family, it is now time to enjoy an equally impressive documentary about Sam Laidlow. The French triathlete broke the bike course record at the Ironman World Championships on Kona last October, becoming the first athlete ever – on this course, that is – to note a sub 4 over 180 kilometers.
How he experienced the race – in which he faced a brutal marathon – as well as what preceded it, what his leaden training sessions looked like and what happened after the race, can be seen in this delightful, nearly hour-long documentary directed by French photographer Baptiste Vignaud.
