A drunk driver nearly caused a major tragedy during Ironman Jacksonville when he sped down the bike and run course of the American race at high speed – while being actively pursued by the police. The footage, which you can see below, speaks for itself and is as bizarre as it is terrifying.
Ironman Jacksonville took place on May 16, but the footage has only just been released. In a desperate attempt to escape the police, the driver tears across both the bike and run courses. A few streets further down, the man was ultimately stopped and taken into custody.
