Women’s Race: Danna Runs Away with Gold

In the women’s field, Switzerland’s Anouk Danna put on a masterclass on the final discipline. Deploying the fastest run split of the day, Danna charged ahead to take a spectacular victory with a total time of 1:02:05.

She was chased down by a strong Australian duo, but they ultimately had to settle for the lower steps of the podium. Matilda Offord crossed the line 24 seconds later to claim silver, while her compatriot Aspen Anderson secured the bronze medal just a few seconds behind.

Men’s Race: Hubner Rules Wels Once Again

The men’s race belonged to France’s Martin Hubner, who proved that the streets of Wels are his ultimate stomping ground. Having previously won the Junior Europe Cup here in 2024, Hubner leveled up to capture his first-ever Elite Europe Cup title. He did so in dominant fashion, clocking both the fastest bike and run times of the day to finish in 55:36.

The battle for the win went down to the absolute wire. Hubner managed to hold off fellow Frenchman Tristan Douche by a mere four seconds in a thrilling final sprint. Switzerland’s Maxime Fluri rounded out the lightning-fast podium in third, finishing just under eight seconds back from the winner.
