It happened about a week ago, but Swedish triathlete Lisa Norden has shared a very remarkable activity on Strava: her childbirth. The activity lasted just over four hours, and according to Strava, Norden burned 365 calories to bring her new little one into the world.
“Delivering the little one,” the title of Norden’s activity reads, which also shows that she maintained an average heart rate of 62 beats per minute during labor. According to Norden, this was her hardest effort ever, but also the one that brought “the most satisfaction.”
Norden is 41, and although her retirement was never officially announced, she is rarely seen competing in triathlons anymore. The Swedish athlete competed in the Olympic Games multiple times and even took home Olympic silver in 2012. In London, only Nicola Spirig was faster – following a razor-thin sprint finish.
