After becoming Supertri E World Champion a month and a half ago, Maxime Hueber-Moosbrugger just won the World Triathlon Cup in Samarkand. The Frenchman decided the race with a strong run.

During the swim and bike, not much actually happened, except that on the bike, a five-man breakaway formed: Maciej Bruzdiak, Márton Kropkó, Igor Dupuis, Jérémy Quindos and Marcus Dey managed to find each other and eventually work together so well that they managed to grab a lead over a large group of chasers. Included in that large group was Hueber-Moosbrugger, but they entered T2 with a gap of over half a minute and thus began the final ten-kilometer run with a serious deficit.

There, however, Hueber-Moosbrugger once again proved inimitable and managed to decide the race definitively in his favor. Of course, the race was not raced by the biggest names, but the way the Frenchman managed to win the race was nevertheless impressive.

Hueber-Moosbrugger won the race in 1:46:43, fifteen seconds faster than Hungarian Márton Kropkó, who thus finished second in 1:46:58. The podium was completed by Canadian Mathis Beaulieu, who finished third in a time of 1:47:08.
