Canyon’s All-New Grizl CF: One Bike for Every Adventure

The new Canyon Grizl (Picture: Canyon)

Four years ago, Canyon hit the gravel scene with a bang. The original Grizl captured the spirit of adventure gravel riding and took it deeper into the wild. Now, Canyon is back with an all-new version – redesigned, reimagined, and ready for whatever adventure you throw at it.

Gravel, Evolved

The new Grizl isn’t just a refresh – it’s a complete overhaul designed for the modern rider. It’s more adaptable, more durable, and more adventure-ready than ever before. With room for up to 54 mm tires, more mounting options, increased storage space, and compatibility with front and rear racks, the new Grizl can be customized for everything from fast gravel loops to multi-day backcountry epics.

Canyon has cleaned up the internals too. Gone is the risk of cable housing rubbing through your frame thanks to semi-integrated cable routing. Geometry updates make it more stable on descents, and in a welcome nod to simplicity, Canyon has stuck with standard components like round seatposts and external clamps. Available in seven sizes, it accommodates riders from 160 cm to well over 200 cm.

Meet the Grizl OG and Grizl Escape

The Grizl CF is now a single, strong carbon platform – but Canyon is offering two distinct build concepts based on how you ride.

The Grizl OG channels the original bike’s spirit: fast, fun, and versatile. Think smooth gearing from SRAM XPLR or Shimano GRX, 45 mm Schwalbe G-One RX tires, and a familiar HB0067 handlebar paired with a ST0046 stem for adjustable comfort. With four models ranging from €2,399 to €7,999, it’s built for gravel riders looking to mix road speed with off-road exploration.

The Grizl Escape is built for long-haul adventurers. It’s equipped with mountain bike-style ‘mullet’ gearing, Schwalbe G-One Overlander tires, and the new Full Mounty cockpit – a 31.8 mm bar that gives extra hand positions and gear-mounting space. Whether you’re climbing with a loaded rig or riding into the unknown, the Escape has you covered. Three models are available, priced between €2,999 and €6,999.

Suspension, Done Right

Canyon didn’t stop at frame upgrades. The new F132 One fork, developed with DT Swiss, delivers 40 mm of plush, air-sprung travel via their LINEAIR system. It’s tuned for gravel, enhancing comfort and traction without sacrificing control.

With an internally routed lockout remote, cargo mounts, and sleek aesthetics, the fork doesn’t just work well – it looks right at home. Combined with Canyon’s Rough Is Fast Suspension tuning philosophy, this is suspension that’s designed for performance, not gimmicks.

Introducing ECLIPS: Power Without Limits

For riders venturing off-grid, Canyon’s new ECLIPS system is a game-changer. Short for Endless Charge & Lighting Integrated Power System, it combines a SON dynamo hub with a fully internal wiring system and a Lupine Smartcore battery.

The result? Continuous lighting, reliable recharging for your devices via a USB-C port, and sleek, integrated design. A BlackBox control unit and full integration with the Canyon App complete the setup. Whether you’re riding through the night or just need to keep your GPS and phone topped up, ECLIPS makes self-supported riding easier than ever.

Total Gravel System

Canyon has also introduced new GR 30 wheels to round out their complete gravel ecosystem. Designed with DT Swiss, they feature carbon hookless rims with a 27 mm internal width—perfect for running grippy, low-pressure tubeless tires. A DT 350 Spline hub and Aerocomp spokes complete the package.

Gear Up for the Grizl Life

Canyon isn’t just launching a bike – they’re offering a complete system of accessories designed specifically for the Grizl. From cockpit bags and food pouches to racks and fenders, the range includes everything you need to tailor your bike to your next adventure. Highlights include the Load Cockpit Bag, Fidlock Quickloader, and the weather-ready 50 mm Fast Fenders.

Availability and Pricing

The new Grizl CF is available starting Tuesday, July 1st, with the Grizl CF 6 starting at €2,399 and the top-tier Grizl CF 9 with ECLIPS system priced at €7,999. U.S. riders will have access to the CF 6, CF 7 Escape, and CF 8 ECLIPS Escape models.
