Ironman made headlines this week with its updated competition rules, announcing that athletes are no longer allowed to take photos or videos during a race using phones, GoPros, or smart glasses. The move sparked plenty of debate among triathletes, so we asked our readers what they thought.
The results are clear: a whopping 80% of respondents agree that it’s a smart decision for Ironman to prohibit athletes from filming or photographing during the race. Only 10% disagreed, wishing they could still capture footage with their devices, while another 10% said it simply doesn’t matter to them.
