Last year, Daria Rogozina claimed both the Winter Duathlon and Winter Triathlon world titles in the same weekend – and today, she has done it again. After securing her first title yesterday at the World Championship Winter Duathlon, the Russian athlete also triumphed in the World Championship Winter Triathlon today, marking another weekend double in 2026, just as she did in 2025.

The Winter Triathlon featured a sequence of 2 kilometers running, 4 kilometers biking, and 4 kilometers cross-country skiing, repeated twice. Rogozina completed the course in 1:02:44, finishing nearly a minute ahead of her compatriot Alina Liagaeva, who took second in 1:03:38. Italian Axelle Vicari secured third place in 1:05:48.

In the men’s race, a double almost happened as well, if not for a narrow margin. Norwegian Jens Kristoffer Dyrdahl, who won the Winter Duathlon yesterday, had to settle for second today, finishing just three seconds behind Russian Dmitrii Kondrashov, who clocked 55:31. The bronze went to another Russian, Oleg Chestikov, who crossed the line at 55:35 – ensuring that the entire podium was decided within less than five seconds.
