Despite the fact that only 22,000 users – a negligible fraction of the total community – have reached the current maximum level of 100, Zwift is officially removing the ceiling. As part of a series of updates rolling out in March and April, the platform will introduce a system featuring “infinite levels.”
Recognizing the “Centurions”
To honor those who pushed through the existing grind, Zwift will award a special tag to all users who reached Level 100 before the update. This badge of honor will allow the community to identify the “original” max-level riders who conquered the previous peak.
The Road to 100
Reaching the current Level 100 milestone is no small feat, requiring a total of about 800.000 XP. On Zwift, XP is earned through:
- Mileage: Accumulating distance across the various worlds.
- Route Mastery: Completing specific course badges.
- Achievements: Surmounting climbing challenges and unlocking in-game milestones.
