Both are well known for occasionally taking on a bucket-list race – rather than strictly competing in the world’s biggest events – and Kristian Blummenfelt and Gustav Iden have planned another great trip for this year: on November 7, the two Norwegians will be on the start line at Challenge Xiamen.
In China, Blummenfelt and Iden will compete against a professional field of around forty athletes on the start list. Both athletes will, of course, first tackle the Ironman World Championship on Kona, but just under a month later, the two friends and training partners will cross swords once again in a Middle Distance race. In China, they will be racing for a $25,000 prize purse. Both men were just officially announced.
