What a way to celebrate a champion: Bermuda welcomed their golden Flora Duffy with a national holiday and a huge celebration. A few months ago, Duffy became Bermuda’s first-ever Olympic gold medalist, and that didn’t go unnoticed. Today, people were on the streets and for hours Duffy was celebrated by people waving, cheering, clapping and dancing for her. Duffy finished with a speech in front of her home crowd. An incredible day that was captured in the video below. It’s certain to say that, because of Duffy, triathlon in Bermuda must have gained even more popularity than it already did.
