At least four years more to come for Ironman 70.3 Augusta

Great news for Ironman 70.3 Augusta. While the next edition for this race is scheduled for September 26, 2021, Ironman and Augustus Sports council just announced they have agreed to extend their partnership with the continuation of Ironman 70.3 Augustus through 2025. Located along the banks of the Savannah River, Augusta is the second largest and oldest city in the state of Georgia.

“For over a decade, Augusta has continued to be one of the most popular destinations on the IRONMAN 70.3 circuit,” said Elizabeth O’Brien, Managing Director North America for Ironman. “The tremendous support the event receives from the entire community showcases the city of Augusta’s desire to be a true sporting destination that also embraces the Ironman spirit. We are thrilled to continue our partnership through 2025 and grow our contributions to the rich sporting culture in Augusta. We are looking forward to returning to the Augusta region for the next five years.”

Athletes will begin their journey with a 1900mtr downriver swim in the Savannah River, a 90km bike through South Augusta and a flat 21.1km run ending in downtown Augusta.
