The successful Bahrain Endurance 13 team that includes multiple Ironman world champions Jan Frodeno and Daniela Ryf, just announced three big names will join the squad as of this year: Henri Schoeman (RSA), Cassandre Beaugrand (FRA) and Tyler Mislawchuk (CAN). The addition of these three seems to indicate the team will be looking to have as many team members as possible at the Olympics this year.

Schoeman, Beaugrand and Mislawchuk join some other successful potential 2021 Olympic triathletes on the team: bronze medalist Vicky Holland (GBR), silver medalist Javier Gomez (ESP) and two-time gold medalist Alistair Brownlee (GBR). (Of course Frodeno has also enjoyed some Olympic success as the 2008 gold medalist.) Other athletes on the team, are: Holly Lawrence (USA), paratriathlete Lauren Parker (AUS), Kristian Blummenfelt (NOR), and David Plese (SVN).

Henri Schoeman: “Relationship starts at a significant time in my career”

“It’s great to become part of Bahrain Endurance 13, a team full of champions and amazing athletes,” Schoeman said in a press release. “Our relationship starts at a very significant time in my career as I find myself competitive across the Super League, Olympic and now 70.3 distances of triathlon. I’m really excited about the coming years with the team as I am passionate about sharing the values and benefits of sport and triathlon and offering inspiration to the younger generation.”

Tyler Mislawchuk: “It is an honor”

Mislawchuk considers it a “great priviledge” to be part of Bahrain Endurance 13. “Some of my new teammates were world and Olympic champions before I even began my journey in triathlon. Standing on the start line wearing the Bahrain Endurance 13 kit will push my limits and bring out the best of me as an athlete. As I go into one of the biggest years of my career, it is an honor to be named alongside the biggest names in our sport.”

Alongside one of the best triathletes in the world, Vincent Luis, Beaugrand’s addition to Bahrain Endurance 13 means both will likely race together in the Olympic Mixed Relay event, representing France.
