Wonderful documentary: Run to the Source

Whereas gravelling is becoming increasingly popular among triathletes, the same goes for trail running, especially in the autumn and winter. More and more often triathletes look for the untracked paths as an alternative training to prepare for the upcoming season. In that respect, this documentary is really worth watching; Run to the Source is about the journey of trailrunner Martin Johnson who attempted to set a new record over a 294-kilometer trail along the river the Thames.

What’s great about the documentary is not only the physical challenge portrayed, but also the journey of discovery into British history of people of color; it was on purpose Johnson make his attempt exactly one year after George Floyd was killed by senseless police brutality in the United States of America.
