“We are saddened to share that one of our race participants from Saturday’s Ironman Florida triathlon has passed away.” Last weekend, during Ironman Florida, a triathlete passed away after crossing the finish line. “The athlete required medical attention at the finish line before being transported to a nearby hospital”, Ironman states in a press release.
“We thank the medical personnel who worked quickly to provide the athlete with medical support. We share our deepest sympathies with the family and friends of the athlete and will continue to offer them our support as they go through this very difficult time”, the tragic update continues.
