Next is1 80km of cycling with approximately 3,600m of ascent through passes such as the Col de la Ramaz, the Gavot plateau as well as the panorama of Champeillant. The full distance races finishes at the edge of the lake with 42.195km of running.

The Sprint (750m / 20km / 5km) and Olympic (1500m / 40km / 10km) formats will complete the weekend race programme in September.

Benjamin Chandelier, General Manager of OC Sport Outdoor, “We are happy to announce the creation of the Evian Triathlon in collaboration with a city we know well and with which we share the same values.

“A triathlon in Evian is an obvious choice because it is a city of water nestled in an incredible setting between the lake and the mountains, and I am convinced that the triathletes will be excited about this new offering.”

Josiane Lei, Mayor of Evian, said “The creation of a triathlon in Evian-les-Bains reflects our ambition for the town to offer different sporting activities in an idyllic setting due to the environment that surrounds us.

This dynamic goes hand in hand with our ‘Terre de Jeux Paris 2024’ label obtained thanks to our desire to promote sports and the quality of our facilities. This event is also part of the Agenda 2030 in which the city is involved, with the challenge of promoting health, sport and well-being.

“We are delighted to welcome all triathletes who will take up the challenge of the triple effort between the Alps and Lake Geneva.”
