Britain’s only Coastal National Park will once again host Challenge Wales this weekend with top British athletes joining hundreds of age groupers to take on the scenic course.

Lucy Byram (GBR) is returning to defend her title and it promises to be an exciting defence with fellow Brit Fenella Langridge (GBR) also on the start line. The pair last met at The Championship 2023 where it was Byram who came out top, by just one minute. Byram has had an impressive start to 2023 taking wins at both Clash Miami and Challenge Puerto Varas but Langridge is ranked considerably higher, due in part to a strong second place in Roth last year. They are joined by Australian athlete, Renee Kiley plus two up-and-coming British athletes, Lizzie Rayner and Laura Addie.

In the men’s field, the man to beat is Tom Bishop (GBR) who already has one win to his name this season at Challenge Puerto Varas in Chile, plus a top five at The Championship 2023. His competition comes in the form of Harry Palmer (GBR), who placed third at the inaugural edition of Challenge Wales last year, Andrew Horsfall-Turner (GBR) and Jack Hutchens (GBR).
