A live broadcast of Challenge Roth will be available free of charge via a livestream all over the world. In Germany, BR Fernsehen will broadcast the event on both terrestrial TV and online. The event takes place on June 25, 2023, in southern Germany.
From start to finish, fans can follow the race without interruption. The German BR stream can be viewed on br24sport.de and sportschau.de. From 06:15 to 15:15 CET Bayerischer Rundfunk will broadcast live on TV, with a programme-related break from 11:00 to 12 noon.
In addition, BR will report on the triathlon in Roth on all its channels throughout the race day and in the days surrounding the race.
Roth event organiser Team Challenge is also offering fans an English-language triathlon stream hosted by Belinda Granger and a ‘surprise co-host’. The free to view international stream will also start at 06.15 CET, on the Challenge Roth YouTube channel.
For Roth fans, friends and relatives at home or supporters on the course, the organiser will broadcast live pictures from Roth to the world from the start of the race until the end of the finish line show at 23:05.
The organiser added… ‘With the finish line cam and the 360° cam from the Roth triathlon stadium, the tears of joy and emotions of all finishers, no matter whether they are professionals or age groupers, will be shown throughout the day.’
In order to capture the atmosphere as well as the expectations of the top athletes before the big showdown, the traditional pre-race press conference from Kulturfabrik Roth on Thursday, June 22, at 11.00 CET will for the first time also be live on the Roth YouTube channel.
To complement the live stream, a Tri2b live ticker will provide real-time text, images and video coverage of race day. With the athlete tracker, available on the Challenge Roth website on race day, relatives can follow their loved ones and their favourite pros over the 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike and 42.2 km run.
Another way to stay up-to-date on race day are the Challenge Roth social channels.
On June 25, 2023, five Hawaii champions – Patrick Lange, Anne Haug, Sebastian Kienle, Daniela Ryf and Chelsea Sodaro – will compete in Roth. Adding Magnus Ditlev, Andi Dreitz and Nils Frommhold, there are seven athletes who have already stood at the top of the Roth podium leading the elite field.
