Challenge Roth sold out within forty seconds

Registration for Challenge Roth opened this morning and, as expected, the race sold out almost immediately. Actually even faster than expected, because where last year the slots were sold out after about a minute and a half, today it was done already within 40 seconds.

Tens of thousands of people were trying at the same time to get a entry slot for what is perhaps the most popular race in the world, and “only” a few thousand athletes succeed. This morning over three thousand slots were sold – in 40 seconds, that is – leaving one last small chance for a slot later this year.

“Thank you very much for your trust and loyalty. We really appreciate it and will do everything we can to organize the best possible race for you. For everyone who wasn’t lucky enough to get a slot this time, we have the traditional Pre Christmas promotion again this year. On December 6 at noon, the registration will be opened one more time. There, unused spots from sponsors will still be allocated. Once again this year the athletes are supporting a good cause: a certain amount per ticket will go to people who desperately need the money. See you soon in Roth.”

The day after the race, the first thousand slots for Challenge Roth were already sold. About six thousand athletes take part each year.
