Sweden’s Tilda Mansson had to sprint to the very last meter, but won a very exciting World Triathlon Cup Tiszaujvaros. The men’s race was exciting as well, although the difference was just a little bigger. In the men’s race the win went to one of the home favorites; the Hungarian Csongor Lehmann.

In the women’s race, the win went to Mansson; the Swedish athlete won the sprint distance race in a time of 58:45. Spain’s Noelia Juan made it exciting until the very last meters, eventually did lose the final sprint and finished second in 58:46. The bronze was for Belgian Jolien Vermeylen; she too finished very close to the winner and crossed the line in third in a time of 58:50.

In the men’s race, it was Lehmann who managed to win in his home country; he did so in a time of 52:18, staying eight seconds ahead of Spaniard Sergio Baxter Cabrera. Carbrera in turn stayed ahead of his compatriot Alberto Gonzalez Garcia, who thus finished third. He did so in a time of 52:32.
