She won the World Cups in Weihai and Chengdu already and now Bianca Seregni has also won the World Triathlon Cup in Miyazaki. The Italian triathlete is thus on a stunning winning streak. In the men’s race, a stunning first win for Briton Hugo Milner.

That Seregni was at the start with great confidence should come as no surprise: the Italian has had a great season so far, with equally great victories under her belt. The eyes were therefore of course on her, although on paper Jeanne Lehair was perhaps the biggest favorite of all. Both women ended up on the podium, but it was Seregni who took the gold. She finished in a time of 1:59:43. Behind her, it was American Gwen Jorgensen, also putting in yet another top performance of the season, who finished second in 2:00:01. Jeanne Lehair complemented the podium in a time of 2:00:10.

In the men’s race, Hugo Milner experienced a day to remember: he took his first ever World Triathlon Cup victory. Especially his lightning-fast ten-kilometer run (29:33) captured the imagination. In the end, Milner won the race in 1:47:46. Kiwi Dylan McCullough was second in 1:47:50 and German Lasse Nygaard Priester third in 1:47:59.
